The challenge. A display case of approximately eight cubic meters created by OTT ART — with the support of Intesa Sanpaolo Cultural Activities — to house the Japanese armor B.53, catalogued by the Armeria in 1890. A composite artifact (steel, gold, silver, copper, polychrome wood, lacquer, leather, skin, silk and hemp) in a non-climate-controlled room: conditions that made the task particularly demanding.

The solution. To stabilize such an imposing volume, only eight Propadyn units in the 3400 format of 400 g were used.

The result. Despite the large internal volume and strong external environmental fluctuations, the relative humidity was maintained from the first days at a stable value between 46 and 48% — a true test of maturity for Propadyn, called upon to preserve the artwork over time.
